## Summary
The Scimitar is a specialized logistics ship, bonused for shield transfer and tracking links. The ship's primary use is shield repair, and the tracking link bonus is generally considered a secondary benefit or ignored. Unlike its Caldari counterpart, the Basilisk, the Scimitar does not transfer capacitor with other logistics ships and is fit to cover its own capacitor needs. This tends to make Scimitar fits very tight and require careful trade-offs between repping power, capacitor regen, and tank if the pilot has less-than-perfect skills. The Scimitar is known as the fastest of the logistics ships by quite a way (since the Basilisk has a low base speed and the Oneiros fits armor plates), and is prized as the logistics ship of choice for fast shield gangs.
## Skills
Even more so than some other Tech 2 hulls, the Scimitar has tight fitting limitations, and puts a premium on the pilot's fitting skills. As with all the Tech 2 logistics hulls, having the ship skill, Logistics Cruisers, trained to IV is good, but the per-level bonuses are significant enough that training it to V yields significant extra battlefield power. Shield Emission Systems and Repair Drone Operation are obviously important. General support skills are never bad.
