The Dominix Navy Issue's past is prominently interwoven with history, as it is known to have directly participated in the blockade and bombardment of Caldari Prime along with the Dracofeu orbital-class bomber two centuries ago. Engineered for capsule compliance, and refitted to serve more traditional combat roles, the Dominix Navy Issue today remains an extremely effective vessel and an invaluable asset in close- to mid-range battle situations.

The Dominix Navy Issue (Navy Domi, or DNI) is an upgrade on the regular Dominix. It has an extra mid slot, a slightly bigger drone bay, slightly more CPU, powergrid and a significantly better base tank. It trades the Dominix's drone optimal range bonus for a bonus to large hybrid damage and a bonus to local armor repair amount. While the Navy Domi has much improved survivability due to its armor repair bonus and additional shield, armor, and hull hitpoints, and the extra mid and additional fitting space give more flexibility, the Navy Dominix is more of a sidegrade than an upgrade in terms of damage - while it gains a bonus to gun damage, it loses the optimal range drone bonus of the Dominix, which is very powerful when used with sentry drones. Thus the Navy Domi is more suitable as a gun and heavy drone brawler, while the regular Dominix is superior at sniping with sentries.
Skills
The Navy Dominix is an expensive faction battleship, and us such deserves excellent skills including but not limited too;
Drone Sharpshooting, Drone Navigation, Drone Interfacing, Drone Avionics, Advanced Drone Avionics, and Drone Durability to at least IV, preferably V.
Light Drone Operation, Medium Drone Operation, Heavy Drone Operation, Sentry Drone Interfacing, and Drones to V.
Amarr Drone Specialization, Caldari Drone Specialization, Gallente Drone Specialization, and Minmatar Drone Specialization to at least III.
Gunnery, Controlled Bursts, Motion Prediction, Rapid Firing, Sharpshooter, Surgical Strike, and Trajectory Analysis to at least IV.
Large Hybrid Turret to V and Large Blaster Specialization to at least III.
Perfect Navigation skills, and all the skills for a Tech 2 tank
Tactics
The Navy Dominix's bonuses suggest brawling with heavy drones and large blasters while using the active tank bonus to shrug off hundreds of dps. A microwarpdrive is recommended for range control, while a web will greatly help with damage application. Buffer fits are also viable, using the ship's 7 low slots, its faction 50% hitpoint increase, and its Battleship armor plate hitpoint bonus to achieve well over 200,000 hp.
Notes
The 2022 Uprising update greatly improved the Navy Dominix's performance, adding bonuses to armor repair rate and drone tracking speed, as well as increasing it's hybrid turret damage bonus.
