Following a successful re-engineering process, Duvolle Laboratories developed a new method of transmitting energy to remote stasis webification drones, greatly increasing the factor by which they could ensnare a ship. The research corporation then went on to win a bid to apply this new development to Gallente Navy ship designs. The bulky nature of this technology prohibited integration with the Gallente Navy's smaller vessels and so the Myrmidon was identified as an ideal choice for field testing.
This webification drone technology, combined with an upgraded Myrmidon, proved a potent combination: the drones being able to snare distant targets, allowing this spiked column of destruction to slowly fall upon its prey.
The Myrmidon Navy Issue is the faction variant of the drone-focused Gallente Battlecruiser, the Myrmidon. It retains all of the drone and repair bonuses available to the Myrmidon while also receiving bonuses to Medium Hybrid Turrets and Webification Drones. Though this ship still has a typical T1 resist profile, it does receive a significantly larger amount of buffer in the form of more base shields, armor, and hull.
Skills
Although the Myrmidon Navy Issue can technically be flown with very low skills, it would be wise to train the skills necessary for a T2 armor tank before flying this ship in any PvP encounter. The highest damage can be achieved with a mix of Medium and Heavy drones due to this ship's 100mb drone bandwidth, so good drone skills such as Drones V, Drone Interfacing IV, Medium Drone Operation IV, and Heavy Drone Operation IV should also be trained to maximize this ship's potential. Gunnery skills are necessary if you wish to get the most out of the ship's bonus to Hybrid Turrets.
Tactics
The Myrmidon Navy Issue is somewhat more suited to PvP than its T1 counterpart due to a speed buff and an overwhelming amount of DPS potential, but it is still a big, slow target which can quickly become prey to larger gangs of enemy ships. This ship may punch above its weight when it can lock down an enemy target and put blasters on them at close range, so use game mechanics such as ESS gates to pick the fights you actually want to take.
