## Summary
</div>
The Hawk is an assault frigate specialised in missiles and rockets. It can be fitted with light missiles, but is more often mounted with rockets: its velocity bonus to missiles allows it to fire rockets out to overheated web range.
One of the Hawk's distinguishing features is its layout of 5 mid slots, a feature shared by very few other combat frigates, the Jaguar, Griffin Navy Issue, and Hookbill; this gives it a lot of flexibility for fitting shield tank modules and/or tackling modules.

The February Assault Frigate balance update introduced a new module for HACs and AFs, the Assault Damage Controls, which can replace the Damage Control module for these ships.
